We have several after school options for you.  To register for any of them, you will sign up directly with the provider or teacher.  There are four types of after-school options.

1. Teacher-Run classes: These classes are taught by our ICS teachers.  Kindergarten and 1st graders can enroll for classes held at 55 Willoughby Street.  2nd through 5th graders can enroll for classes held at 9 Hanover Place.  Other than the Hebrew class, students will NOT be walking between buildings this year.

2. On-site classes through external providers: These classes are run by outside providers, and taught at ICS.  Just like the teacher-run programs your child can enroll in a class that takes place in their building.  Students will NOT be walking between buildings.

3. Off-Site After-School Programs that will pick up from ICS: These programs have agreed to pick-up children at either/both ICS locations and walk or shuttle them to their facility. Many offsite providers have an extended day offer. Some will return kids to back to ICS at the end of the day.

4. Kids Orbit: This is our in-house full-afternoon program

Financial Aid:
The Family Organization will be providing financial assistance for
Teacher-Run classes only. Please fill out this form on the ICS website to apply.  Once you have been approved, please fill out this form to indicate which class you would like to enroll your child. Super Soccer Stars Mini Camp

Location: McLaughlin Park (tbc) - dismissal will be back at ICS
Day & Time: Thursdays, 1:30pm - 4:00pm in September & October

At Super Soccer Stars, it is our goal to teach soccer skills in a fun, non-competitive, educational environment. Our philosophy is to use soccer to nurture, to build self-confidence, and to develop teamwork in every class. All Super Soccer Stars classes are based on age-specific curricula created by a combination of early childhood, soccer, and behavioral specialists to guarantee that each child is learning and having a blast from the moment the whistle blows.

Thursday Mini-camp
The focal point at this age group is to improve each player's creative capacity through technical skill development and competition. Every 7-12-year-old Super Soccer Stars training session allows for freedom of expression with the ball. This vital concept is emphasized with the introduction of 1v1 dribbling and defending games. Games increase in player numbers as proficiency is attained. Mastery of ball control helps a player successfully manage the 1v1 element of the soccer game. The addition of opponents allows the player to make decisions under pressure. High repetition ball control activities help each player become more proficient with the ball.

PLEASE NOTE:
In case of heavy rain, Soccer Mini-Camp will take place indoors at Upper 90, located at 359 Atlantic Avenue.

The class will run in September & October only. Kids that take this class are welcome to join another Thursday afterschool class (eg. Created by Kids, Gymstars) midway through the session, and fees will be prorated.

REGISTRATION: Please register here.
PICK UP: Kids will be dismissed back at ICS - 9 Hanover Place at 4pm.

Students will get the chance to try out an array of art mediums and techniques.  We will learn about different forms of printmaking relief, mono and screen printing. The children will be working with clay, both hand build and on the pottery wheel. We will then practice drawing techniques with self portraits and characters. We will focus on composition, layout, perspective, line, and shading.

We will even combine some of the art mediums to create unique mixed media projects. This is a great chance for your child to try out new art processes, while learning about the history of fine art.
